The bulky Encyclopedia includes over 1600 visual symbols, including photography, fine art paintings and line illustrations, with authoritative in depth commentary, definitions and explanations.

The book’s goal is to identify and analyze the visual vocabulary that formulates our thoughts and dictates our reactions to the world around us. It attempts to interpret the unconscious codes and secret languages that shape our most ancient emotions. Geoglyphs in Peru

Posted in Sermon Thought - Tim McCary, Uncategorized on June 21, 2009 by apostolicthinker

The Nazca Lines are a series of geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert, a high arid plateau that stretches more than 80 kilometres (50 mi) between the towns of Nazca and Palpa on the Pampas de Jumana in Peru. Although some local geoglyphs resemble Paracas motifs, these are largely believed to have been created by the Nazca culture between 200 BCE and 700 CE. There are hundreds of individual figures, ranging in complexity from simple lines to stylized hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, sharks or orcas, llamas, and lizards. Read more »
